Lisa was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Her father was a builder and interior designer, and her mother was a professional model.
Fashion and creativity have always been part of her life. While attending Wayne State University, Lisa worked for a popular Detroit clothing store dressing some of Motown’s most well-known artists. Lisa then began working in the wholesale market for companies from Faded Glory to Calvin Klein and re-located to Los Angeles. After settling in California, Lisa began teaching fashion design and merchandising at the acclaimed Brooks College in Southern California.
In 2004, Lisa Freede launched her unique jewelry collection, designing her “perfect” Huggie Earring and Crystal Motorcycle Chain Link necklace.
Lisa is known for her special blend of simplicity, versatility, and classic couture while always staying on trend. Her designs are of superb quality at affordable prices. This formula has been a proven success with some of the world’s greatest stores carrying Lisa Freede Jewelry, such as Neiman Marcus, Intermix, The W Hotels, Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdale’s, and Fred Segal to name a few.
Lisa has maintained long term relationships with celebrity clientele while designing clothing and jewelry for TV, films, and music videos.
Lisa Freede was named by the New York Times as “a designer to watch for” and has been featured in multiple publications including Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, InStyle, People Magazine, and many more. Lisa has been featured and appeared on “E” news, FOX news, The Today Show, KTLA, The Bravo channel, America’s Next Top Model, as well as on many more popular media sources.
